Meeting Point

What to expect

When you arrive, please come along to the meeting point to book in - the club flag will be flying to show you where we are located.

There will be a number of activities for you to have a go at to practice different Navigation skills. There will also be a course for you to try. For this you will be given a map of the park with a number of checkpoints marked that you need to find. At each checkpoint you will find a letter, write down the letters you find on the answer sheet provided and return to registration to claim your prize.

There will be helpers on hand to get you started and answer any questions.

If you decide to leave early, please let us know so we don't go out looking for you.

Important Safety Information

It could be cold, wet and muddy, please wear suitable shoes or wellies and bring waterproofs and warm clothing.

There are some slippery places, some rocks, some trees and sometimes a river - this makes activities more exciting, but please be aware and take care.

There will be other members of the public using the park, please supervise children at all times.

First Aid is available at registration.

Make sure you bring snacks and drinks for when you are out in the park - Navigation activities are thirsty, hungry work!

There are toilets in the park and The Travelling Tea Rooms will be open if the weather is dry.
