2019 Summer Collaborative Session Registration

These flexible, participant-driven monthly sessions are a wonderful opportunity learn more about integrating new programs and technology, enhance your skills with existing resources, and collaborate with experts & peers while earning Flex and/or Act 48 hours along the way.
Join us for an hour . . . half day . . . full day . . . all 3 days!

Work independently or as a team, and get a head start planning for next year. Some new and exciting initiatives on the horizon include;

a. Schoology integration & expansion at all levels, creating a more personalized learning environment for your students. Sessions facilitated by Will Illingworth from Schoology.

b. Skyward Gradebook at the Elementary Level Exploration, Discussion and Application - RECOMMENDED for Elementary Teachers interested in learning more about using Skyward Gradebook.

c.SMART Learning Suite (Already available to staff) - Take SMART Notebook lessons to the next level with formative assessments, collaborative workspaces & game-based activities that students can participate with online, in real-time. July 25 session facilitated by Heather Schrader from SMART.

d. KMS Personalized Learning Experience - Sessions specifically for those participating in the KMS Personalized Learning Experience. Participants will be dedicating time to collaborating as a group to discuss our vision, measurable goals and specific strategies for creating a more personalized learning environment for our students as well as clearly identifying plans for ongoing professional development and collaboration throughout the year.

e. Google Expedition Experience (Now Available!) - Ever wonder what the Galapagos Islands look like? How about visiting the Seven Wonders of the World or exploring each of the global biomes? Perhaps you'd like take a tour inside a cell or a trip through the circulatory system? With Google Expedition, these seemingly impossible experiences are now a reality . . . virtually that is! The District secured a classroom set of (30) Google Expedition VR viewers and mobile phones, as well as a "tour-guide" tablet and router, all managed within a mobile cart which can be easily moved throughout the building and the District. Google Expedition - Exploring available expeditions, practice utilizing & managing devices and plan for classroom integration (2-3 hours)
