Creekside Greenhouses is located 7 miles north of Pennock in Kandiyohi County, MN. We operate from March to June each year, growing and selling annuals, vegetables and perennials. We are currently looking for planting assistants for March and April and/or retail greenhouse workers for May and June. Both have full-time and part-time opportunities. All the work is seasonal from March through June. Please read and understand the following standards before you apply with us.
- You must be able to do repetitive physical work and tolerate working in a variety of temperatures and environmental conditions. You must also be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
- You must work effectively with others, as well as being able to work solo when needed.
Additionally, for the retail greenhouse worker position:
- You must have a friendly attitude towards all customers and a willingness to learn the plants we grow.
- You must be able to handle money effectively and learn to operate our Square POS (point of sale) system.
You do not need greenhouse experience. If you have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a history of good attendance, we will teach you what you need to know. Job Opportunities
- Planting Assistant - Work hours are scheduled Monday through Friday for March and April. Generally, no weekends. Hours are between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. This position includes planting, watering, and moving plants between greenhouses. It is quite labor-intensive with long periods of standing and temperature fluctuations.
- Retail Greenhouse Worker: Work hours are more flexible in this position and available for May and June. Some weekend hours will be needed. Most of your time will be spent caring for the plants in the greenhouses, restocking, and assisting customers with their plant purchases. You may also be checking customers out on the cash registers.
