Join us for a day of BBQ, community, and competition at the First Responder BBQ Cook-Off, hosted at Cactus Land Brewery in Adkins, TX on May 9, 2026.  Open to Fire, Police, EMS departments and Community Teams. 

All proceeds from team entry fees and event fundraising will directly support the Joseph Mitchell Memorial Scholarships, which help future and current First Responders in their academic journeys.

Set up begins: 8:00 AM

Judging starts: 4:00PM

This is a non-sanctioned cook-off, created in good spirit for a great cause.

Alcohol is available for purchase at Cactus Land Brewery.

🚫 No outside alcohol is allowed. Coolers will be checked at entry.

If outside alcohol is found, your team may be disqualified from the competition.

🥇 Grand Champion (Overall): $750

🥈 2nd Overall: $500

🥉 3rd Overall: $250

🏆 Best Chef’s Choice: Trophy + bragging rights

🏆 Best Ribs: Trophy + bragging rights
