We are committed to following our Code of Ethics and safeguarding school keys at all times to comply with District policies. Please adhere to the following:
1. Keys are NEVER to be kept in classroom or office cupboards, filing cabinets, in or on desks, or in faculty mailboxes.
2. Keys are NEVER to be loaned to students to open classroom/office doors gates.
3. The classroom teacher is to be issued only the keys to his/her classroom, storeroom, and/or cabinets.
4. The teacher is responsible for the designated key(s).
5. A classroom teacher cannot be issued a master key.
6. Authorization to Access Site during Non-School hours must be approved by Principal or designee to be on campus. Form may be found on our school website. (The school is equipped with intrusion alarms.)
7. Unauthorized possession or duplicate of keys by any person, including employees, is a misdemeanor under California Penal Code Section 469 PC.
8. The loss or theft of school keys shall be reported immediately to Principal or the School Site Key Administrator who will report the loss to the Local District and School Police.
9.     All keys shall be turned in to the site key administrator at the end of the school year or in the event of an assignment change.  
10.  The Principal or Site Key Administrator will arrange to have all exterior doors of buildings opened and closed as necessary.  (Excerpts from Bul-2374.2)
