Campus Food Pantry - Waiver and Release of Liability
I understand the food distributed at “The Store@HU” Food Pantry has been donated by or purchased from various off-campus partners, and that none of the parties involved in the program make any warranties as to the quality of the food or its value for any particular purposes. I acknowledge that receipt of free food from The Store@HU Food Pantry is a gift and not a reoccurring obligation.I hereby assume all risks related to this gift of food and, by my signature below, agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless The Store@HU Pantry, Howard University, its partners, the original food donors and all officers, employees, agents, and volunteers of these entities, from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action of any sort on account of damage to personal property, or personal injury and/or illness, or death which may result from any gift of food from The Store@HU food pantry. I understand that by agreeing to this clause I am releasing claims and giving up substantial rights, including my rights to sue regarding the quality, condition, or packaging of the food.
