The NLG NYC Chapter has created a taskforce to offer legal representation of and advocacy for protesters involved in FLOYD/BLM protests. This taskforce will provide free, quality legal consultation to arrestees or people who were detained or injured relating to the FLOYD/BLM protests which were held in NYC during May and June 2020, and thereafter, about potential civil remedies, including potential litigation; and protecting and pursuing their rights before any entity investigating any aspect of the FLOYD/BLM protests.
The NYC NLG Taskforce is seeking remote volunteers to support these efforts. Please fill out the form below if you are interested in participating. The task force will prioritize applications by BIPOC, LGBTQ, women, and other attorneys and legal workers systemically excluded from the civil rights bar.
