Nominate Yourself for Oxford SGC
Thank you for your interest in serving on Oxford's SGC. The SGC is a committee of parents/guardians and school staff who examine student achievement data and school needs. Based on this information, the SGC decides on how specific funds are spent at our school, including our share of our local Berkeley Schools Excellence Program (BSEP/Measure A) property tax revenues and other site funds.

Nominations are due no later than September 22 and elections will be held from September 23 - September 29.

Please contact Principal Beth Rhine at bethrhine@berkeleyschools.net or SGC Chair Nina Cohen at cohen.ninar@gmail.com if you have any questions about the SGC.

The SGC will first meet for the District-wide training on October 18. After that, we typically meet on Wednesday evenings at 6 p.m., but we will confirm meeting time in our first meeting. The committee is comprised of 12 members, with equal numbers of parents/guardians and school staff. SGC meetings are open to the public and input is welcome from the school community.

I would be interested in serving on the District BSEP Planning and Oversight (P&O) Committee.
The P&O Committee meets twice a month on Tuesday evenings to review plans and budgets for the BSEP expenditures for district libraries, 4th-8th grade music program, class size reduction, technology, professional development, program evaluation, public information, translation, and parent outreach. The 2016-17 year will be the last year of the current BSEP Measure, which will go to Berkeley voters for renewal in November 2016.
Conflict of Interest Statement (please enter your initials below) *
In order to be eligible to serve as a parent representative on the School Governance Council, I hereby state that I do not have a financial conflict of interest in serving on this committee. No member of my household or my immediate family receives funding which is considered or approved by the SGC.
