Junior League of Sarasota - Community Project Application 2020-2021
ALL APPLICATIONS DUE BY 11:59 pm, July 15, 2020

Please complete the application and send the documents below to diad@jlsarasota.org.

These following documents must be included by the deadline for your organization's application to be considered complete:
-A copy of your organization's 501(c)3 IRS Determination Letter
-A project/program budget. Include all revenues and expenses, including any additional funders, amounts, and
status of funding.

PROJECT APPLICATION TYPE 1 - DONE IN A DAY GUIDELINES
Project Budget: Up to $1,000 per project request

Project Guidelines:
-Project should be accomplished in 1 day, or an 8 hour or less time frame
-Project shall be a hands-on project in which our League members can actively participate, with approximately
6-12 League members participating (Note - JLS volunteers will follow CDC Guidelines for COVID)
-Project must be completed between October 2020 - April 2021
-Projects are typically completed on Saturdays. If another day is required, please note it
-Funds allotted from Junior League of Sarasota will be used solely for project supplies
-The applicant must be a 501(c)3 Florida not-for-profit corporation, organization or agency operating
exclusively for charitable, education or scientific purposes
-Project and grant applicants must reflect a concern for those issues confronted by residents of Sarasota
County, Florida
-You must have an up-to-date Giving Partner profile to be considered (https://www.thegivingpartner.org/) or
must sign up before applying

PROJECT APPLICATION TYPE 2 - DONE IN A MEETING GUIDELINES
Project Budget: Up to $100 per project request

Project Guidelines:
-Project should be accomplished in 10-15 minutes, with preparations prior to event day
-Project involving 80+ League members are preferred
-You must have an up-to-date Giving Partner profile to be considered (https://www.thegivingpartner.org/) or
must sign up before applying

The following will not be considered for Done in A Day, Done in A Meeting, or Community Grant:
Fundraising drives or related events, capital campaigns, political groups/candidates, sectarian/religious activities, or scholarship funds.

Applicants will be notified of the results in Mid-September 2020. If your application is approved, we will contact you to begin the coordination of the project and you will be assigned two project team leaders from Junior League.
