Session Proposal Application
2019 NEW YORK STATEWIDE PRESERVATION CONFERENCE
Presented by: The Landmark Society of Western New York; Preservation Buffalo Niagara; The Preservation League of New York State; and the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.

INSTRUCTIONS:
- Please provide COMPLETE responses to all of the questions below.
- PLEASE PROOF YOUR CONTENT. Session proposals should be in a final, proofed state, with speaker names, bios, and session description finalized. The content that you submit will be used for printed and online materials.
- You are welcome to submit multiple proposals but please limit one proposal per application
- Incomplete proposals will not be considered.
- We receive many more proposals than we have room for. To try to include as many great ideas as possible, Conference staff may combine your proposal with another.

All education sessions are scheduled to take place between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Friday, April 26th in Rochester, NY. Sessions will be 1.25 or 1.5 hours in length, including 10-15 minutes for Q&A.

PRIORITIES:
- Sessions that include diverse panelists/speakers, including people of color, women, LGBTQ, and youth. All panels should strive to be inclusive and represent diverse perspectives.
- Topics that address underrepresented communities and current issues regarding social justice and equity as they relate to historic preservation (i.e. gentrification, intangible heritage, non-traditional or new preservation practices)
- Topics that explicitly address ways in which preservation as a movement and a professional field can become more inclusive and representative.
