Thursday Activities- 2019 ACS National Lawyer Convening
Getting into town early? Join us on Thursday, October 17, for an afternoon activity before the 2019 ACS National Lawyer Convening begins! Please RSVP for the activity you'd like to participate in so that we have an accurate headcount.

All activity groups will meet in the lobby of the Westin Peachtree Plaza at 1:30 p.m. and will end at Georgia State University College of Law around 4:30 p.m. when registration opens. The Convening officially begins with a Welcome Reception at 5:30 p.m.

Activity Descriptions
1. Georgia Aquarium

Considered one of the world's largest aquariums, the Georgia Aquarium boasts more than 100,000 animals from 700 species represented in seven different galleries, from freshwater animals to whale sharks.

2. Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site

Walk in the footsteps of one of history's most important figures with a visit to the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site. The trip includes a visit to the home where civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. was born and raised, the Ebenezer Baptist Church, and The King Center.

The MLK Jr. National Historic Site is free.

3. Center for Civil & Human Rights

The National Center for Civil and Human Rights harnesses Atlanta’s legacy of civil rights to strengthen the worldwide movement for human rights. Atlanta played a unique leadership role in the American Civil Rights Movement. 4. CNN Studio Tour

5. Krog Street Market

Krog Street Market is a destination for Atlanta’s intown culture – those who are always searching for unique, specialty creations. It’s designed to be as authentic as the 1920’s warehouse it’s built into. With market stalls to sell produce, goods, and prepared food, along with a few southern-grown restaurants and retailers, the market will offer Atlantans a gathering place of sorts – a locale for taking in an extraordinary meal or picking up a few inspiring ingredients – a west coast-style market, right in the heart of Inman Park.
