CBDC are planning two waxcap/CHEGD training workshops in October and November 2026. If you are involved in fungi surveys or other ecological recording/surveying and would be willing to volunteer with waxcap surveying in the future, you are very welcome to come along.
We have not yet confirmed the location of the sessions but they are likely to be in the Kendal/Windermere area. The sessions are all day (10am-4pm) and will involve a classroom introductory session as well as time outside. There will be no cost for the sessions but you will need to bring your own lunch!
The sessions are aimed at participants with prior experience of biological recording (not restricted to fungi but this would be useful) and are not aimed at beginners. An introductory webinar will be offered later this year for anyone who would like to find out how to get started with CHEGD identification.
Please complete the form to register your interest and we'll be in touch shortly with more information about the session and booking details. Places will be offered on a first come, first served basis.
If you have any questions about the sessions, please contact manager@cbdc.org.uk
