Extra-Curricular Interest Survey
Wheatland High School is currently evaluating the long-term interest in the extra-curricular activities offered by the district. Extra-curricular activities include all programs sponsored by the school that extend beyond the classroom (i.e. sports, clubs, organizations, etc.) Several activities that you may not be familiar with have a brief description with them explaining the program.

Your answers should be based on how likely you are to participate in each activity during your first year of high school (if you are not already in high school) or your next year of high school (if you are already in high school). Your responses should be based on your current plans with each activity, and are only an indicator of your potential participation in that activity in the future.

For each activity listed below, please rate your interest in the activity by indicating how likely (10) or unlikely (1) you are to participate in it during high school. Please be honest and thoughtful as the responses gathered will help plan program offerings for the future.

Electric Car
Kansas high school teams design, build and race electric vehicles (EV). The EVs are single-driver, lightweight, aerodynamic, high efficiency, electric race cars. The ElectroRally competition is based on time and distance, and the race is won by the team that completes the most laps in one hour. Strategy is as important as speed - drive fast to do many laps or go slower, conserve battery and last the whole race. These EVs can reach speeds in excess of 30 mph and travel a distance of 25 miles in the one hour period.

School Play
WHS will reignite the tradition of holding an annual all-school play. To make a production reality, a play will be selected, interested students will audition for roles, and after roles have been determined, practice will begin. School plays are for everyone, from the outgoing dramatic to the quiet tech kid, as there is a wide range of roles that need to be filled in front of and behind the curtain. Producing a play takes dedication and teamwork, but is an experience you’ll never forget.
