Major Taylor Ride Camp Spring Break 2018 Registration
Does your kid have a desire to learn more about bikes? Are they enthusiastic about riding and interested in gaining more skills? Would they like to be able to perform basic maintenance and repairs on their bike? Then Reno Bike Project is excited to have your youth in this Spring Break's Major Taylor Ride Camp! This 5-day camp meets March 26-30, from 9-12pm M-Th and 9-2 F. The group will gain road safety, bike handling, mechanics, and more skills; all while exploring the Truckee Meadows and doing fun activities on bicycle.

Here is an overview of the Major Taylor Ride Camp experience:
Day 1: Safety: Basic safe riding/handling skills, bike set up, riding ergonomics, bike ride + activity
Day 2: Preparation: Bicycle safety check, tools & their uses, bike parts, bike ride + activity
Day 3: Community: Group riding skills, bike maintenance & mechanics, flat repair, bike ride + activity
Day 4: Achievement: Advanced handling, road rules, hand signals, bike ride + activity
Day 5: Fun!: Long/destination bike ride, pizza party, graduation

Youth must know how to ride a bicycle, stand between 4’10 - 6’7, and be 11-18 years old. The camp fee is $125 per participant and must be paid prior to the first bike ride. We provide bikes for participants to ride, bike helmets, gloves, and all tools and equipment. Participants should arrive having had breakfast, in comfortable & appropriate riding clothing, with close-toed shoes. Each day, we will meet in a different location. More details to follow sign-up.

Scholarships are available; we don't want to price out families for whom the tuition would create a hardship. To apply for a scholarship, please contact Genevieve Parker,

We're expecting clear skies and comfortable temps, but of course weather is unpredictable. If the weather will be overly unfavorable, we'll let you know and refund your child's tuition for any days cancelled. This is a great introduction to riding for amusement, or to get around, and it's a lot of fun!
