Terms and Conditions:All submissions must be turned in within the semester the service was completed.Submissions will be verified with on-site supervisorYou can only submit hours for time actually spent doing community service - drive time to and from an event cannot be included.
Examples of hours that will NOT count are as follows: Club Activities -General club activities, such as tabling or building web sites -Anything that falls under your responsibilities as an officer/member Fundraisers -Raising funds for clubs or organizations Tutoring -Tutoring of other SDSU students without prior permission from Student Life & Leadership. An example of volunteering that would count as community service would be tutoring at an elementary school or volunteer tutoring with students in the Casa Azteca program -Service that is paid -Anything where you or your organization gets paid for the service Family -Service to your family Non-Charitable Service -Service that does not help those "in need" - for instance, volunteering at your high school annual band competition, singing for services at your local religious organization, etc. will not count Service to for-profit entities -Ex: Stocking at your Uncle's grocery store will not count, even if you are doing it for free Political activities - seek prior permission from Student Life & Leadership -Internships -Independent, Unapproved Projects Individual projects that are not connected with some sort of service organization or agency unless prior approval has been received from Student Life and Leadership. -For example: "I spent 3 hours walking around campus with a friend picking up trash"
