10:30 - 11:30 --> Librarians as Research Practitioners, with Dr. Nicole Alemanne

Research is becoming more important for LIS practitioners as professionals and it is an essential component of LIS as a profession. But how do LIS research methods courses connect to and support the development of research practitioners? In this talk we’ll look at research into research—how LIS practitioners view and use research on the job and how LIS programs are working to make research methods training relevant and useful as they seek to develop research practitioners.
