Congolese Diaspora Impact Strategies, CDIS, was founded in 2018 to facilitate networking within the Congolese Diaspora in America, amplify the voices of Congolese experts, and support initiatives that enhance the socio-economic capital of the DRC and her Diaspora.
CDIS has organized three summits in New York City and Washington D.C., contributed to the creation of multiple enterprises and initiatives operating in Congo and overseas, and raised funds for various Congolese-led non-profits. CDIS is now organizing the inaugural Return 2 Congo trip which will take place in November 2024.
This trip will be an exploration of the business and impact opportunities available in Kinshasa; the financial and political capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The inaugural Return 2 Congo will connect the Diaspora, and interested parties, with Congolese leaders, entrepreneurs and change-makers across multiple sectors such as agriculture, supply chain, real estate, finance, hospitality and more.
The trip will also include opportunities to discover and enjoy the culture, arts, entertainment, and history of the city.
