New Millennial Project Application
Equip -The New Millennial Project equips students with the necessary knowledge on the role of school boards, the impact of local governance, and the importance of civic engagement.
Empower - NMP empowers students by connecting them with real-life field experiences that expose them to leaders in education and provides a first-hand opportunity to develop a voice and engage in the electoral process.
Elevate - NMP elevates student impact by creating avenues for students to have a seat at the decision-making table and advocate for their schools and classmates.
Who should apply to NMP?
Students in grades 9-12 that have a deep passion to improve their school and local communities are great candidates for the program. Young leaders who are determined to have a positive impact on the political process will find NMP to be a great opportunity to connect with other dynamic students, build a toolkit of effective advocacy tools, and have their voice heard by education leaders from across DFW.
When Does NMP Meet?
Typically sessions are 2-3 hours long and take place on Saturdays. The first session will be on November 23rd from 9AM-1 PM. Locations are currently TBD! You can find more session dates by visiting the NMP webpage. If students need a ride we have background checked volunteers that can support that.
If you're interested in being apart of this year's NMP Cohort please complete and submit this application by October 25th at midnight. Please keep all essay questions under 500 words.
