Keep Wakulla County Beautiful Youth Council
Keep Wakulla County Beautiful is accepting applications for the new KWCB Youth Council. This is a unique opportunity for high school students from diverse backgrounds across the county to participate in a service-learning and leadership development program. Members will contribute to and inform KWCB on programs while acting as ambassadors and leaders for youth service at their schools and in their communities.

The KWCB Youth Council creates a framework for youth engagement. KWCB seeks to infuse the youth voice into our programs and build on the model of youth leadership seen in our partner affiliates. The KWCB Youth Council provides youth with the opportunity to:

* Engage in creative work with a nonprofit organization focused on litter prevention, beautification and community greening and waste reduction and recycling
* Partner with like-minded youth with unique perspectives from across the county
* Inform KWCB on programs while learning about approaches for engaging youth in community service
*Act as a service-learning ambassador in their community by playing a leadership role in engaging youth in service and service-learning. Great on a resume or college aplication.
* All time spent with the council may count towards school volunteering hours, including Bright Futures
* Resume-building
* Professional development experience
* Networking with like-minded students across the county
* Eligibility to apply for Keep Florida Beautiful and Keep America Beautiful’s Youth Advisory Councils

Youth interested in applying must meet the following criteria:
• Be enrolled in public, private, virtual or homeschool (in grades 9, 10, 11 or 12)
• Be a resident of Wakulla County, FL
• Be able to commit to a term lasting through the school year and additional KWCB meetings and council-sponsored events.

Once this form has been received, we will be emailing a Parent's Release that will need to be completed.
