A Lieutenant Governor(LTG) is a liaison and advisor to the clubs in their division. They work closely with the club officers to ensure their success and to voice their clubs' needs to the district board. As a member of the district board, a LTG works to ensure the success of the entire district by attending board meetings and helps put on district events. The Bayou South Division contains these schools:>ULL>LSU>Southeastern>McNeese (new club in formation)
To apply for this position you DO NOT have to be attending one of the clubs within the division. However, applicants within the division will be considered first.
The Lieutenant Governor is expected to attend the following meetings:1) South Fall Into Service (Baton Rouge, LA): Saturday, October 6th, 20182) Video Online Board Meeting: Sunday, November 4th, 20183) District Board Meeting (Vicksburg, MS): Saturday, January 19th, 20194) District Convention (Vicksburg, MS): Fri-Sat, February 15-16, 2019This is a reimbursable position, we can reimburse you for travel.
The following is this position's basic responsibilities:>Submit a board member monthly report on time>Visit every club in their division once before February.>Conduct monthly one-on-ones with presidents in their division>Can be expected to attend other Kiwanis-Family events to talk about CKI>Hold 3 divisional online meetings, with one rep per club, for the year>Help out at Fall Into Serivce>Help out at and Host a Workshop at District Convention
Communication is an important aspect of being a district board member and timeliness is of the essence. Being a district board member can be rewarding! You get to develop your leader skills, learn more about CKI, as well as voice your ideas and opinions on a district level. You get to interact with all the club officers in the district and on the district board, form some great friendships and have a fun time!
