Metrolina Library Association (MLA) is now accepting poster and presentation proposals for our 2026 conference, scheduled for Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at South Piedmont Area Health Education Center (AHEC)
This year’s theme is Navigating Turbulent Waters.
Libraries are navigating changing currents, including evolving technologies, shifting expectations, and new challenges across our communities. We are seeking posters and presentations that respond thoughtfully to this moment and move beyond inspiration into practical navigation. What tools, research, and lessons learned are helping you adapt while staying grounded in your mission?
We invite library professionals, educators, researchers, and students to share insights and innovative projects that translate vision into action. Help our community steer forward with actionable strategies that equip library staff to adapt, respond, and lead with confidence, even in challenging waters.
Proposals from all areas of librarianship are encouraged. Potential topics include:
- AI & Technology in Libraries
- Open Educational Resources (OER)
- Community Engagement & Outreach
- Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Initiatives
- Information Literacy & Research Support
- Emerging Trends in Librarianship
