Test-Optional and Test-Free Merit Aid and Scholarship Opportunities for Students

A lot of students are being convinced by College Board, ACT, test prep providers, private companies, as well as the media that test-optional and test-free does not allow students to have merit aid and/or scholarship opportunities.

In my community, the big test-prep companies send out marketing materials that say students who want scholarships and merit aid MUST HAVE a test score

In Facebook groups for caretakers and students, I have seen caretakers and students advise others they MUST test to be eligible for scholarships, merit aid, and other opportunities.

The narrative is that test-optional students or students who don't test are worse off financially than their peers who submit with test scores.

We are using this form as an opportunity to highlight test-optional and test-free merit aid and scholarship opportunities at 4 year accredited institutions, scholarship providers, etc.

We will compile a list for students in our community at jennthetutor.com and other communities to ensure they are aware of the opportunities available.

Currently updating- due to error with website we are behind and anticipate an update on 11/30 or 12/1
