This course will equip learners with the knowledge and skills to conduct successful Online Guiding. This course will reduce the learning curve with practical tips on how to manage the available equipment and the popular apps needed for online guiding.

Due to restrictions for physical travel by COVID-19, the online guiding is emerging as one of the most in-demand skills for tourism. This course will help tourist guides adjust to the new travel format, build up their personal branding and positioning.

At the end of the course, the participant should be able to

  • Operate the equipment needed for online guiding
  • Understand the Apps needed for online guiding
  • Convert offline guiding into online guiding
  • Plan an online guiding

Course Fee, Subsidy, Administration Terms & Conditions
Full Course Fee: $120 (Non-Singaporean/Non-PR to pay Full Fee) + $10 (if not STGS Member)
Course Registration Fee: $10 (Waived for existing STGS Member ONLY)

Course Fee for Singaporean/PR after SSG Course Fee Subsidy *  
1. Singaporean above 21 years old & PR       - $60 (Nett Fee)  + $10 (if not STGS Member)
2. Singaporean above 40 years old        - $36 (Nett Fee)  + $10 (if not STGS Member)

SkillsFuture Credit (SFC) **  (NOT applicable to PR)
• Singaporean can use SkillsFuture Credit (SFC) to offset the above course fee after SSG course fee subsidy.
• Course Registration Fee CANNOT be claim via SFC
• SFC Submission MUST be done at least 1 working day BEFORE Class Start. You CANNOT Claim SFC after class started. 
• Email finance@societyoftouristguides to inform if you wish to use SFC to offset your course fee so that we can issue you the required receipt for you to submit to claim SFC.

Terms for SSG Funding & Important Admin 
• Trainee has NOT attended the same course before even in a different language.
• Trainee MUST achieve at least 75% of the training hours 
• Trainee MUST pass the assessments
• Trainee MUST provide ALL required information accurately.
• Trainee MUST provide copy ID to STGS for verification when requested
• Trainee MUST download SingPass Apps & use SingPass*** to take SSG digital attendance during class. STGS & trainer reserve the rights to request the trainee to leave the class for non compliance.
• Trainee MUST printscreen & email the SingPass login error to finance@societyoftouristguides.org.sg as evidence to appeal with SSG.  
• STGS reserve the rights to claim back FULL Fee from trainee for any false declaration & unclaimable fee due to non cooperation / non compliance by trainee
• Company sponsored Singaporean/PR (paid by company) may be eligible for absentee payroll ****

Refund Policy
• No refund 7 working days prior to course start date unless for compassionate reason
• Trainees who fail to show up for course without valid reason (last-minute job are not valid) cannot request to change date or change course. The amount paid by trainee shall be forfeited for no show.

Privacy Policy
• Information collected are used for processing of SSG funding & STB PDC submission only.
• STGS will update STB TRUST within 5 working days from class completion day. 
• STGS reserve the rights to cancel, postpone or amend the date and time of the course delivery
