GRADUATE ATTIRE FOR CEREMONIES:  Students are required to wear dress up clothing at both events- shorts, jeans, sweats or other casual attire will NOT be allowed. Gentlemen need to wear a tie. Other “adornments” including body piercings, other than earlobes, tattoos, brightly-colored hair, etc. are not acceptable. All national and cultural traditions are respected and appreciated in our school community. To honor our long tradition here at Judge Memorial, graduates are asked to wear the cap and gown WITHOUT adornment! NO GUM OR CELL PHONES ALLOWED AT CEREMONIES! *

If your family decides to cause disruption during the commencement ceremony, you may be asked to leave by Abravanel security and/or be assessed a clean up fee from Abravanel for confetti, etc. If you cause disruption, your student WILL NOT receive the JM diploma until a reasonable amount of detention has been served (as determined by administration). *

I have read the information regarding dates and times of practices and ceremonies for both Baccalaureate and Commencement. I understand the importance of my total cooperation for all events and ceremonies, and promise to arrive on time and to participate in a spirit of cooperation. Formal request for absences must be submitted in writing by a parent to Dean Douglas to seek approval. Failure to abide by these expectations will result in serious consequences. I understand that if I do not meet the Judge graduation requirements, I may not be allowed to participate in either ceremony. I understand that all Code of Conduct rules apply during practices and ceremonies and that any misbehavior on my part during those practices and ceremonies will result in a delay in receiving my diploma.  If I am late for practices or ceremonies, or break any other Code of Conduct rule during practices and ceremonies, I understand that my diploma will be held until I complete my detention/restitution the week after graduation. I understand that if my conduct during the 4th quarter is unsatisfactory or if I fail to attend every practice, I may not be allowed to participate in the Baccalaureate and Graduation ceremonies. *
