Psilocybin-assisted therapy will be available for licensed therapists who've completed specialized trainings to use with their clients by Summer 2025. My Denver Therapy has one of the first licensed therapists who has completed the required trainings for psilocybin-assisted therapy in Colorado, and we have 2 more therapists who will also complete these trainings by Fall 2025.
When working with a licensed therapist, psilocybin-assisted therapy will not be for people looking for microdosing or a recreational mushroom experience. It will be for people who suffer from treatment-resistant depression and anxiety, substance use disorders, PTSD, OCD, and depression caused by terminal illness. Clinical research continues to identify what therapists can use psilocybin-assisted therapy for, and this list of conditions is likely to grow in the future.
Colorado state regulations require that psilocybin-assisted therapy treatments include sessions for preparation and integration, in addition to an all-day dosing session. When working with a licensed and trained therapist who can legally provide this unique type of therapy, it will not be a low-cost therapy option because of the amount of time involved. Additionally, dosing sessions will need to happen in person in our Denver area offices, not remotely.
This form is designed to help future clients join our waitlist for psilocybin-assisted therapy. We plan to start contacting people from our waitlist starting in May 2025.
