This year we will be holding two sessions of LRCB and need some incredible volunteers to make it all happen! We are looking forward to cultivating a supportive community of peers and mentors that will help motivate social change in our community!
Ladies Rock Camp Boston gives women a chance to have fun, learn an instrument they always wanted to play, and all the while raise money for a great cause! Thank you for your interest in making this program possible and for helping women in the greater Boston area rock out!
Ladies Rock Camp Boston (LRCB) 2018 Sessions:
Session 1: March 1-4, 2018Session 2: April 5-8, 2018
We seek volunteers who want to engage in our mission of empowering each other through music instruction and performance during this intensive three day session! While our programming is guided by the experiences of girls and women, we are committed to creating an inclusive environment that supports and welcomes a wide range of marginalized gender identities and expressions. We welcome women, trans, and gender nonconforming volunteers.
Please check out all of our available volunteer positions to see what role(s) would be best for you and then head on to the LRCB Volunteer Application!
Limited volunteer positions are available. Please apply early for best consideration. Once your application has been submitted, we will send an email confirming that we have received your application. The submission of your application will then be followed by a phone interview.
We have created three crews that help get everything done:
Site Crew: You will help make the weekend run smoothly by working with all workshop leaders to make sure they have the supplies and support that they need! You will also be creating organizational systems to make sure everything is easy to find and distribute. You will also help keep the building clean and organized throughout the day.
Gear Crew: You will work with the Keeper of the Gear to ensure everyone has the gear they need. Throughout the weekend you will be as a roadie for the Bands, help move gear for instrument instruction, and set up for workshops and bands!
Food Crew: We need your help to make sure everything runs smooth as butter! This position includes setting up and breaking down food/drinks throughout the day. People get cranky when they are hungry and you will be making sure everyone is fed and HAPPY!!
Session Time Commitment: Mandatory Orientation on the Thursday preceding the session. Friday 9:00am-11:00pm, Saturday 8:30am-11:00pm, Sunday 9:00am-3:30pm (7:00pm call at Venue for Sunday Live Showcase). The support crew position time commitment is flexible.
