Kensington Woods Shadow Day RSVP 2027

This year, we will host shadow days on:

  • Fall 2026: Wednesday, September 16 & Friday, September 18

  • Winter 2027: Wednesday, January 13 & Friday, January 22

  • Spring 2027: Friday, April 30 & Wednesday, May 5

If these dates don't work for you, please contact us; we can find a date that works! 

During Shadow Days the shadow student is shadows a current student in their grade or in the grade they are interested in learning about, visiting a variety of classes and experiencing the #KWoodsDifference firsthand; meeting teachers and current students!

Please plan on arriving to campus about 7:45-7:50 am and come to the Main Office to check in. Students are dismissed at 12pm on Fridays, 3:20pm on Monday-Thursdays. If attending Monday-Thursday, students should plan on bringing a bag lunch (there are microwaves and fridges for student use). Students can bring a backpack with any personal supplies they may need but are not required to bring other items.

Once we receive this completed form, we will reach out to confirm your shadow day! As part of the shadow day process, KWS may request current grades and/or behavior records from your current school.

Please make sure to RSVP at least 2 days in advance of your preferred shadow date.

School Policies

  • All visiting students must attend the classes that the school schedules for them and follow their shadow leader.
  • Visiting students are expected to adhere to the KWS Student Code of Conduct and follow staff directives. Students who do not follow policy may be asked to leave before the school day is completed. Parents will be notified immediately if this occurs.


For 11th and 12th grade students. Visiting 11th and 12th grade students may leave campus for lunch only if they have parental permission. Please indicate permission below. Students in grades 6-10 must remain on campus in the designated areas during lunch.
