Generating Small Data Using Administrative Records and Online Registration Systems (↓)

This training workshop, aims to provide knowledge on the statistical methodological approaches in generating (small) data on subpopulations and subsectors to guide business and government decisions. The focus will be on how survey data, administrative records, and the internet could be used to generate small data on important subpopulations and sectors we are working on. People working on specific interest groups and subsectors who are doing planning and setting goals, program/project formulation and results evaluation will benefit more from this training.

Examples of subpopulations in the Philippines’ social sector are: agrarian reform beneficiaries, housing beneficiaries of the National Housing Authority, Pag-ibig Fund housing borrowers, children with disabilities, homeless, cancer patients, and cultural minorities 

Examples  of subpopulations in the Philippines’  business sector are: coconut oil industry, sugar industry, innovations, and business process outsourcing, and overseas employment.

Descriptive, Predictive, and Prescriptive Analytics Using Excel  (↓)

This training workshop, aims to provide knowledge on the three analytical tools which could be institutionalized in their offices for data driven decision making which makes use of not one but three areas of statistical analysis – descriptive, predictive and prescriptive- for coming up with the best or optimum strategies to meet targets and goals. This training will be useful for people working on specific interest groups and subsectors who are doing planning, evaluation and formulation of strategies to meet target. Those in government planning agencies and field operations both at the national and local level will also benefit from this training workshop in institutionalizing these three analytical tools in government planning and operations.
