DCDI Newcomer Registration 2017!
Hey newcomers! Welcome to DC DanceSport Inferno (DCDI), the best competition of the year (we're a little biased). We host it ourselves in The Stamp's Grand Ballroom on Nov. 4th and 5th, with a social dance Friday night, Nov. 3rd.

This competition is FREE for first-semester dancers with BAM to try competing! We're going to start talking about competing more in class the couple weeks before the competition, and we've got a full day of DCDI Prep Workshops just for Newcomers on Oct. 29th.

If you sign up for Newcomer events, you are only competing against other people who started dancing this semester. You are also welcome to register Bronze if you would like, which is limited to anyone who started dancing after September 2016. You can only register for ONE level per style.

Answer all the questions below so the team captains can register you for DCDI. Both you and your partner need to fill this out separately! Registration is due October 24th!

If you have any questions about DCDI or competing, email the team captains at teamcaptain@ballroomatmaryland.com.

Housing and Staffing
As newcomers, you are NOT required to staff or house anyone for DCDI, but you'll get extra brownie points if you do!

HOUSING
Every year, we get 200-250 requests to host student competitors from other schools (just like they host us when we go to their competitions), and we try to accommodate all of them. They'll take any free bed, couch, or floor space so if you can put even one extra person on the floor of your dorm room for the Friday and/or Saturday nights of the competition, please help us out by filling out the housing form: https://goo.gl/w8dxnn

STAFFING
DCDI is a huge, three-day event that needs staffers from 7-12 pm Friday, 7am-after midnight Saturday, and 7am-7pm Sunday. Volunteering for staffing hours is a really great way to meet more vets, see the behind-the-scenes of what goes into putting a competition together, shake off the nerves of competing, and just help out the club. If you'd like to help us by volunteering any staffing hours for DCDI, please fill out the staffing form: https://goo.gl/Nmal4Y
