2026 Bank of America Chicago Marathon Ham Radio Medical Com Team
Event Date: Sunday, October 11, 2026

We are recruiting 160 ham radio radio operators to help with medical communication for this event. In some cases, non-ham frequencies (GMRS) can be used with a local team and in coordination with the ham leadership.

We are filling positions with different skill sets, backgrounds and experience:
Forward command (net controls, loggers, liaison) up to 12 hams
Course Medical tents - up to 100 people
Pre-Finish (the last mile of the course) - up to 24 people
Triage (run with medical teams to assist runners) - 12-14 people
Post Race Party - You will be assigned with medical teams to roam the post race event - 5 people 
Set up and tear down crew.
