Know Your Rights Training
Our public schools are meant to be safe and welcoming to all students and FWEA members, inclusive of immigration status. It's in the state constitution to welcome all students who come to our schools. However, as an educator in Federal Way, what are your legal rights and responsibilities if ICE shows up at school? What should you be aware of? What should we do or not do?

As a response to member interest, we've connected with our friends in the Sound Alliance. An inspiring trainer to lead us to learn these answers and dispel a few myths. Our aim is that educators understand the basics of the law to have a comfortable understanding in our role as educators in our diverse schools.
