Kodomo no hi (Children's Day) volunteer sign up - Saturday, May 4
Come participate in the JCCCNC's annual Children's Day Festival! Huge koi nobori (carp streamers) will be flown to celebrate this event at the Peace Plaza in Japantown Center at Buchanan & Post Sts. from 11am-4pm. All are welcomed to join in the festivities featuring cultural performances, games, traditional arts and crafts and lots of family fun. In the event of rain, the festival will move to the JCCCNC building at 1840 Sutter St. (between Buchanan and Webster)

Rosa Parks will have a colorful koi-nobori craft table. In addition, thanks to Augie Phillips, we will have “Nagashi Madness” again, a fun, hands-on water game the children have enjoyed in the past.

WE NEED YOUR HELP to assist the children in making their crafts. If you can spare a few hours this Saturday, please complete the form below by Sunday, April 26 (lunch is provided for those who sign up by Sunday). Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
