What is the Apostleship?
The Apostleship is designed for missionaries wanting to serve beyond just one week and develop themselves as leaders. This will be the sixth year we have had the apostleship program and we have seen great success from each participant in spiritual growth as well as knowledge of camp. This program will include rigorous times of service, fundraising, caring for people with special needs, potentially traveling from our lake location to our Teas trail location, as well as leadership training. There will be high expectations and standards placed before you, but we will be walking beside you and investing in you throughout the program.

The Apostleship program was started in 2014, and we have continued to adapt it every summer since. Like each program we have at Camp, our continued focus is to pour into you, point you back to Christ, and continually find new and better ways to do this each summer. With the Apostleship program specifically, our heart is to develop you as leaders and encourage your knowledge and love of Barnabas and Jesus. Through this process, we are revamping and changing the Apostleship program of old into something exciting and brand new for Summer 2019. The Apostleship program works best for graduating Sophomores and Juniors in high school. This will be a three-week program during June 1-21, June 22 - July 12, or July 13 - Aug 2. These 3 weeks will cost $750.00. In the past, we have discounted $100 off each week and asked Apostles to pay the rest. However, this year we want Apostles to experience the fundraising side of camp as well. We are asking the Apostles to fundraise their fee in the hopes of teaching ministry skills while also pushing you to rely on the Lord even more. During the summer you will get to write thank-you notes and give updates to your donors, a process that will help prepare you for what a life in ministry can often look like. One week you will serve with our campers, one week you will serve with our siblings, and one week you will serve with our Special Programs (Ministry Partners and Interns). We hope that the apostleship program will be your first step in becoming staff at Barnabas. Though this program does not guarantee a position on staff it can set you up for success on staff. You will have bible studies led by our Directors and summer staff leadership team, and you will serve with staff who are excited to get to know you and encourage you in your walk with Christ.

What's next?
Please take the time to pray over this and talk to your parents about the opportunity. Please have this form filled out by February 4th, 2019. We urge you to not take this opportunity lightly as we have spent a great deal of time already investing into this program. We will look over your responses and get back with you shortly to schedule an interview. In addition, should you be accepted into the program we will provide you with a few resources to help guide you in your fundraising efforts.
