A list of possible BOSC 2024 keynote speakers can be found at https://www.open-bio.org/2024/01/19/community-comment-bosc-2024-keynotes/. If you are aware of any reason why we should NOT choose someone as a keynote speaker, please let us know. For example, we wish to exclude from consideration:

• Anyone who has made documented racist, sexist, homophobic, statements, or any statements which could be classified as hate speech (e.g. as defined in https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/hate-speech/) and/or there is evidence that they engage in or condone this type of speech and/or related conduct.
• Anyone who has been found guilty of, are credibly accused of, or under investigation for the above and/or other offenses including but not limited to sexual abuse or research misconduct.
