We are here to help. Threads of Life Family Support Request Form:
Threads of Life is not an organization any of us wanted to join.

Our "members" are workers and families who have been personally affected by a workplace tragedy. For this reason, we refer to our members as "family members". We know living with the outcome of a life altering injury, occupational disease, or death is so very difficult. Our programs offer compassion, understanding and hope in a supportive community with others who "get it."

In order for us to help guide you to our programs and services that may be most helpful, please take a few moments to introduce yourself here, and to briefly explain your individual/family's experience with workplace tragedy. All information provided will be kept confidential.

All of our support services, including programs are offered are free of charge to our family members.

If you have any questions please contact Karen Lapierre Pitts, Manager, Family Support kpitts@threadsoflife.ca or call 1-888- 567-9490.

Volunteer Family Guides are Threads of Life family members who have experienced a similar workplace tragedy and are trained to provide peer support. They can be there to journey with you and serve as a resource, they are not professional counsellors. Would you like to talk to someone else who has experienced a similar tragedy?                                                       *

Threads of Life hosts yearly Regional Family Forums to provide familes an opportunity to meet others who have faced a workplace tragedy, and to attend workshops focused on hope, healing & healthy coping strategies. Would you like to know more about attending an upcoming event? *
FamiliesConnect Online Workshops are held on a monthly basis, led by a grief counsellor, Threads of Life staff member or skilled volunteer. In these workshops there will be practical tips and information on a variety of helpful topics for those dealing with a life-altering workplace injury, occupational disease, or workplace fatality. Participants are free to share as much or as little of their own experience as they feel comfortable doing. Would you like to attend one of these workshops? *
