All our physical intervention training is provided within the context of restraint reduction.
As such, if restrictive interventions are being taught, participants must have completed a minimum of two days training in the underpinning theory of restraint reduction, namely training in preventative strategies (Positive Behaviour Support) and secondary strategies (De-escalation and Breakaway skills), prior to participating in a practical, physical skills training session.
In order to ensure that we provide a curriculum tailored to your needs, a training needs analysis (TNA) must be completed. Please complete this form giving as much detail as possible.
Intelligensa will review the rationale and need/continuing need for specific interventions to be included in your programme based upon your TNA information.
The TNA must include the current needs and risks posed to everyone based on current evidence.
This will inform the curriculum that we develop for you, to which we will seek your agreement. If you need help completing the TNA, please do speak with us. You may already have a completed TNA, but if not, a checklist of the minimum information we require is detailed below and can be used to support this process.
