Registration Information: Copperplate Workshop with Nik Pang of Entropy Ink at the Chicago Pen Show, Saturday, May 4, 2019, 9 am - noon.
Copperplate calligraphy, also known as roundhand, engrosser's, and engraver's script is considered by most to be the mother of all pointed pen hands. It still stands as one of the most recognizable and high-demand forms of pointed pen calligraphic works. In this course, Nik will delve into its history, and teach participants how to use dip pens in order to form the basic strokes of its construction. Limited to 12 participants. This three-hour course has a $60 materials fee payable in advance to Nik. Attendees may bring their own writing supplies, but the materials fee includes all the writing tools (nibs, holders, papers, handouts). Please bring your own ruler and pencil.
