Performing Arts for Young Audiences in Denmark and Germany
ASSITEJ Denmark, Teatercentrum in Denmark and ASSITEJ Germany will host an exchange of three Danish and three German theatres in September 2020.
Three artistic teams from each country will be invited to Horsens / DK from 16 – 20 September 2020.
Performing arts for young audiences have a long tradition in both Germany and Denmark. Artists and productions have been inspiring each other and their audiences across the border and across languages for about 40 years.
Now it’s time to revisit traditions and co-invent new inspirations towards a theatre for young audiences that is inclusive and diverse, accessible and political. Children are at the centre of the artistic work that incorporates a wide variety of genres like dance, drama, object theatre and music in its performances.
ASSITEJ Denmark, Teatercentrum in Denmark and ASSITEJ Germany will invite theatres from different regions to Horsens Festival. The artistic teams will present and discuss their approaches and take them further in a cooperative exchange.
Who can apply?
Theatre companies from Denmark and Germany can apply if they create and present performing arts for young audiences.
Three artistic teams from each country will be selected.
