Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,

I am pleased to announce that the Millington Central High School Band is embarking on a new school year of team building, leadership training, and musicianship. This mission impacts the families of our community and is an investment in the future leadership of our society. For that reason, it is necessary for us to work together towards a unified vision.

The 2020-2021 high school band season is here and our success is dependent upon acquiring the resources needed to continue positive momentum. The band operating expenses include, but are not limited to:

1. School Bus travel and trailer hauling expenses to games, & field trips.
2. Marching drill blueprints.
3. Marching, Concert, & Jazz Band Sheet Music.
4. Staff specialists.
5. Percussion heads.
6. Instrument repairs.
7. Marching Season Color guard flags and uniforms.
8. Marching Band uniforms and repairs.
9. Registration fees for competitions and festivals.
10. Office expenses: Mailing, Phone and Copying.
11. Band Season T-Shirt

To meet the demands of this budget, the following portion of band fees are due from each student. It covers about 50% of the overall costs. The other funds will be sought from student/parent efforts fundraising through the MCHS Band Boosters. If you know a  business owner who is not already supporting our organization as a Season Sponsor, please encourage them to help and contact Mr. Smith. They will be featured on our season shirt and band website.

Due to the COVID-19 situation, please make and mail payments to Millington Central High School, C/O MCHS Band, 8050 West Street, Millington, TN 38053.

Band Fees: $275
For current MCHS Band Students, your band trip deposits will automatically roll over toward your band fees, unless a refund is requested in writing by April 30th, 2020 at ksmith@millingtonschools.org.

Payment Plan Options:
$150 Deposits are due by May 15th.
$125 Balances must be paid in full by July 13th.

Due to the pre-order requirements of the music publisher, drill writer expenses of the marching drill, and additional contracted staff band fees are non-refundable.

Every incoming 9th-12th grade student is invited to be in the Millington Central High School Band. If you have financial hardship, please ENROLL regardless. WE WANT EVERY STUDENT IN BAND!! Payment arrangements will be made on a case by case basis.
