CITL Volunteer Application Form
Volunteers at Chess in the Library (CITL) help run chess sessions in designated drop-in library programs. This includes welcoming and guide participants, teaching beginners the rules, answering questions, and fostering a friendly and inclusive environment where everyone can enjoy the game.

Keep in mind any information provided will not be disclosed to anyone except for the library you wish to volunteer in and the CITL team. The information is compiled into the public library system in the Vaughan Public Library or Markham Public Library. This information can only be accessed by library staff and the CITL team.

Applications received will be held on file for 4 months from the date received for future opportunities.  

Please note that this program is a ONE YEAR COMMITMENT.

These are all the participating library (volunteer positions are subject to availability):
Vaughan Public Library
Vellore Village Library: 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM on Saturdays
- Maple Library: 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM on Thursdays
- Dufferin Clark Library: 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM on Tuesdays
- VMC Library: 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM on Wednesdays

Markham Public Library
- Milliken Mills Library: 1:30 - 3:30 PM on the 4th Sunday of every month
- Markham Village Library: 11am - 12 noon on (Sept. 6, Oct. 1, Nov. 1, Nov. 29)
