Middle School Travel Opportunity 2023

We are excited to announce that we are bringing back travel opportunities for our middle school students in grades 7 & 8.

This year's trip for students will be to Washington DC, May 10-12, 2023. This three day/two night trip will be approximately $500 (possible fuel charge price increase). Any interested student will be required to submit a NON-REFUNDABLE FULL DEPOSIT of $100 NO LATER THAN September 23, 2022The first 40 students with a deposit will be guaranteed a spot on the first bus.  Students who make a deposit after student #40 will go on a waitlist until there are 40 more students for a second bus.

After the initial deposit is made, there will be firm deadlines in place for payments to be made.  Payments MUST be made by the following dates:  Deposit (non-refundable to hold seat):  September 23 ($100), October 21 ($100), November 18 ($100), January 20 ($100) and February 24 ($100).  Checks/Money Orders can be made payable to the Fairport Harbor Board of Education and submitted to the Harding office (attention to Mrs.Jurick).  The entire trip must be paid in full by February 24, 2023.

Finally, student travel is a privilege.  If a student has multiple discipline infractions or any suspensions he/she could lose the opportunity for travel this year, which will result in a loss of any payments made.

More information on the trip will be presented at a later date. If at any time you have any questions, please contact me by email at mjurick@fhevs.org.
