7th Grade LGPE Confirmation
The details have been finalized for the 7th Grade Band's Large Group Performance Evaluation (LGPE). This assesses in detail and confirms the students' mastery of the state band curriculum. Please avoid scheduling any conflicts on this date and release any other dates you reserved on your family calendar for this performance. Students will meet at 10:45 AM during 2nd period and return to Dodgen around 4:00pm. Please review the information below and detailed itinerary.
GROUP: Dodgen MS 7th Grade Band
DATE: Tuesday, March 24th
LOCATION: South Cobb High School
FOOD: Students will have lunch at Dodgen at an earlier than normal time. They will be able to have lunch at school in their usual way, whether that is purchasing lunch from the cafeteria OR bringing lunch from home.
UNIFORM: Students will need to wear their official Dodgen Band uniform to school on 3/24! (Solid black pants, black socks that are long enough so that the student's leg does not show when seated, and the official white Dodgen Band Polo Shirt neatly tucked in.)
PARENTS: If you are available to attend the performance at South Cobb, the students would greatly appreciate performing for a large, supportive audience! We also need a few volunteers to ride with us as chaperones. Please volunteer on the Dodgen Band website.
CONFIRMATION: This form was also distributed in class on 2/10/20. Please complete the online form OR the paper form by Thursday, 2/13/20.

9:00 AM Arrive at school wearing band uniform
9:13 AM Attend 1st period as usual
10:45 AM Report to cafeteria during 2nd period. Have lunch at tables 10-13.
11:15 AM Retrieve instruments and music from the band room. Load buses.
11:30 AM Load buses and depart for South Cobb High School
12:15 PM Arrive at South Cobb High School. Assemble instruments and leave cases in designated storage area.
12:45 PM Warm-up and tuning session.
1:30 PM Performance by Dodgen 7th Grade Band!
1:50 PM Move to new location for clinic and sightreading
1:55 PM Clinic session with guest conductor
2:15 PM Sightreading evaluation
2:35 PM Put instruments in storage area and move to auditorium
2:45 PM Watch Barber 7th Grade Symphonic Band performance
3:05 PM Load buses and depart
4:00 PM Arrive at Dodgen, put away instruments and report to theater for wrap-up
4:15 PM Students dismissed as usual
