My child has permission to walk or ride a bike home each day when normal school hours are in effect. School is dismissed at 4:00pm.

My child has permission to walk or ride a bike home on Early Release Days. School is dismissed at 2:00pm.

My child resides in the Harrington Trails neighborhood at the address listed below. (Students have to live in the neighborhood to be permitted to be a walker)

Please read the following:

-Students must be residents of Harrington Trails to be allowed to walk. All other students will need to be a bus rider or car rider.

-A crossing guard will be at the crosswalk at 7:50 am. There will not be a crossing guard available before that time in the morning

-Students will not be released to walk or ride a bike home if it is thundering or lightning outside. In the event of thunder or lightning, students will be held at school until a guardian can pick them up.

-Parents should also request a car rider tag if bad weather might keep their child from walking.

-Once students have crossed the street, students will no longer be accompanied by an adult. At this point, Splendora ISD is no longer responsible for my child.

-Pre-K and Kindergarten students will only be released across the street to an adult, or may walk with an older sibling with parent permission.
