GLAC Co-Sponsorship Application - 2018-19
GLAC invites graduate students and graduate student organizations to apply for GLAC funding to co-sponsor events that develop graduate student leadership and advocacy. We define an advocacy-oriented event as one that: aims to improve graduate student experiences and well-being at Northwestern, raises awareness about an issue facing graduate students, or represents graduate student interests to the NU community.

We will help fund up to $200 for events planned from now until July 1, 2019.

Examples of past events GLAC has co-sponsored include:
~Iranian Student Association protest against the Trump administration's travel ban
~The Anthropology Grad Student Winter Workshop series, including workshops on green office sustainability, negotiating tactics, and grant applications
~Graduate Student Association Health Care Information Session
~HERstory, an outreach event for women in STEM fields at NU organized by Mentorship Opportunities for Research Engagement to engage with high school girls that teaches young female scientists about the history of women in science, encourages them to explore the sciences, and inspires young women of diverse backgrounds to pursue an education in science

We will consider funding requests on a rolling basis until June 15, 2019. Please include as much information about your event as possible; we cannot guarantee the amount of funding requested without knowing the full demand.

We expect organizations with funding to contribute to the event, but lack of funding is not prohibitive to co-sponsoring. We strongly encourage applications from unfunded organizations.
