Dance on Fire Terms and Conditions
Dance on Fire will ensure all reasonable care is taken in the conduct of the classes and is not responsible or liable for any injury or loss sustained by the person or person’s property during the class or on the premises.
Students must follow the teacher’s instructions during class and students or parents must inform the teacher of any physical difficulties or limitations prior to class.
Dance on Fire is authorised to seek appropriate medical attention for the student. Should the need arise, parents acknowledge that all medical and ambulance costs will be incurred by the participant and not Dance on Fire.
During tuition an instructor or assistant teacher from the School may make physical contact with the Student, in the following circumstances: (a) In order to provide instruction to the Student when demonstrating exercises or techniques. (b) Where in the reasonable opinion of the Studio, a Student requires any treatment for an injury e.g. bandage or ice pack.
Dress-code: The Dance on Fire uniform has been thoroughly outlined on the Dance on Fire website and can be purchased at Dance on Fire (some items through our supplier Energetiks). A physical copy of the uniform list can be requested by email. For trial classes a t-shirt, leggings/bike shorts, skirt/shorts and bare feet are appropriate, but please also bring a pair of socks.
For adult classes, participants are asked to wear comfortable, modest clothing suitable for movement (e.g. leggings, t-shirt, long skirt). Barre participants may dance in bare feet, Pilates socks with grip on the sole, or ballet shoes. Christian Dance Fitness participants must wear supportive footwear that allows for safe turning and is not overly high-grip or slippery.
Please arrive 5 minutes before class commencement and be dressed suitably for the class. Before classes commence, parents are advised to accompany their children to use the bathroom to minimise class interruption.
Students are responsible for their own property. Mobile phones or other technological devices including smart watches should not be used in the classroom. Instead, it must remain on silent in the student’s bag for the duration of the class.
Parents are asked not to distract students during class.
Parents must pick up their children from the classroom. Under no circumstances can the child wait in the carpark or on the street. Students are to be picked up no later than 15 minutes after class, if so a late fee of $20 per 1/2 hour will apply per incident.
Students and spectators must clean up after themselves. All rubbish must be thrown in the bin provided or taken home with the participant. Please ensure that the toilets are kept in a clean and tidy condition once used.
I agree to Dance on Fire collecting my personal information for purposes related to the operation of the dance school only.
No parents are permitted to record or take photographs at our studio without permission from the teacher. Dance classes and concerts may be filmed, photographed or documented by Dance on Fire and may be used for the purposes of promotional, advertising and other related activities, unless the student or parent has not given permission in their sign up form.
