Camera Pilot - Expression of Interest Form

As part of our on-going interest to innovate and develop the concept of a Single Platform, Irish Squash wish to explore the value and use of a fixed on-court camera streaming service in Clubs. We are looking to evaluate a simple easy to use system that will address many use cases that will help promote the sport, engage players and be used as a resource by coaches.

In this regard we have identified SquashTV.local as a potential partner and wish to explore the quality of their service on a pilot basis to address these high level requirements. In the event that they meet these requirements we may proceed to seek to promote and deploy in many more clubs around the country.

Please see the Brochure to give you a good sense of how it works.

At present this service has been deployed in LCC Squash Club in late May. Please see an example of the match captured on YouTube as part of their Club Championships. Irish Squash wish to extend the service to further clubs and courts to gain a better understanding of its value - before considering the potential introduction of a "national" scheme - under the auspices of a Camera "Platform".

If you wish to participate in the pilot, can you please complete the following application form by the 30th  of June. Depending on the level of interest and meeting certain criteria, Irish Squash will agree a co-funding arrangement with you to install the service. Based on the quality and number of applications we will evaluate the submissions based on the following criteria and return with feedback.

Evaluation criteria for the club to be part of Pilot will include the following;
  • The Club is Affiliated to Irish Squash
  • The Club is in a position to co-fund the installation of the service
  • The Club is in a position to pay for the support of the service after installation.
  • That the Club will manage the installation of the service with SquashTV.local directly
  • That you have at least one Glass Backed Court
The payment conditions will include;
  • The club will participate and provide feedback over the course of the Irish Squash pilot
  • The Club Feed will display the Irish Squash Logo
  • SquashTV.local will invoice the Club upon successful installation.
  • The Club will pay SquashTV.local
  • Irish Squash will refund the club.
Just in case you are not aware, this service required that the following is in place in your club ahead of installation;
  • Broadband Service (high quality and consistent service)
  • Cat5/6 Data Cables from Broadband Router to the Court
  • Courts must have good Lighting
It is expected that the Pilot will continue until September 2023.

Thanks
