LIFE CASCADE "Closed-loop wAter Systems in textile industrial distriCts: orchestrAteD rEmoval of emerging pollutants from textile wastewater"
The LIFE CASCADE project aims to evaluate and demonstrate treatment technologies for removing per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (
PFAS) and
microplastics from wastewater in the textile industry. By implementing these treatments at both textile companies and centralized wastewater treatment plants, the project seeks to reduce the discharge of these micropollutants into the environment and promote the reuse of treated wastewater within production systems.
