Dear applicant,
The International Youth Health Organization, together with ENSP, presents an advanced youth school focused on educating the next generation of tobacco control enthusiasts. The aim of the event is to delve into the practical aspects of tobacco control, EU processes, lobbying, and advocacy. By bringing together young professionals from different fields, the event will stimulate collaboration, deepen understanding of the issue from multiple angles, and ensure an environment where innovative solutions can be created. Moreover, a strong network of highly motivated individuals will navigate the future of tobacco control at both national and the EU level. The participants will have the opportunity to join both the Youth school as well as the ENSP conference.
REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION
Geographical range:
Preference will be given to individuals studying/living/working in countries in the EU.
Expertise:
We are looking for highly motivated and proactive individuals with experience and a strong interest in public health, specifically tobacco control, advocacy and cross-sectoral collaboration.
Age range:
Preference will be given to individuals between 24 and 34 years of age.
Availability:
Applicants should be able to participate at the event fully.
EVENT FEE
SPECIAL PARTICIPATION FEE
Special fee covers participation at the Advanced Youth School and ENSP Conference and does not cover accommodation and meals.
Regular fee (until 20 September): €300
Late fee (21 September to 30 September): €500
Reduced participation fee for local students from Athens (in collaboration with local co-organisers):
Regular fee (until 20 September): €100
Late fee (21 September to 30 September): €150
REGULAR EVENT FEE
The event fee covers the cost of accommodation, the program, meals, attendance at the ENSP conference, and participation in the side events. The fee does not travel costs; travel costs are covered only for full and associate members of YHO.
Early fee (until 31 August): €460,00
Regular fee (until 15 September): €570,00
Late fee (until 30 September): €690,00

Travel costs are covered for full and associate members of YHO.
Application process:
Deadline for applications is the 20th of September 2024, 23:59 CEST.
The spots for the event are limited and participants will be accepted, based on a rolling “first come-first serve” basis and quality of application.
Selected participants will receive the confirmation by email with a Welcome Pack and other crucial information in a few working days after the application has been submitted. Your place at the advocacy school will be guaranteed after the payment of the event fee.
