As part of their "year in review" podcast episode, Joe, Otto, and the rest of the Latvia Weekly staff will select one "person of the year" for 2018 who for better or worse dominated headlines and/or had a major impact behind the scenes of Latvian society and culture.

They would also like to give the option for readers to choose a "person of the year" as well, so readers have nominated some choices for you to vote on. The person who gets the most votes will be the people's choice "person of the year."
