Tour of Britain - Programme Call-Out

We’re building the programme for the Lloyds Tour of Britain Men… and we want you in it 🚴💛

Boston – Thursday 3 September 2026 – Stage 2 Start
Skegness – Thursday 3 September 2026 – Stage 2 Finish
Activation times: 10am–4pm

The Lloyds Tour of Britain Men is coming to Lincolnshire this September, with Stage 2 beginning in Boston before racing across the county to an exciting finish in Skegness.

Alongside the cycling action, we’re creating a programme of entertainment and activity in both towns, helping to create a brilliant atmosphere for residents, visitors and cycling fans throughout the day.

Checkmate Productions is working on the Boston and Skegness activations on behalf of East Lindsey District Council & Boston Borough Council, alongside the wider Tour of Britain Stage 2 event.

What are we looking for?

We’re currently looking for live performers and entertainers to join the programme in Boston and Skegness.

We’re particularly interested in:

  • Music acts
  • Walkabout and roaming entertainment
  • Street theatre
  • Pop-up and small-scale performances
  • Family-friendly entertainment
  • Workshops and activities
  • Fitness Instructors

And if what you do doesn’t quite fit into one of those boxes, don’t let that stop you. If you have something engaging, energetic and suitable for a busy public event, we’d love to hear about it.

How to apply

Please register your interest by completing the following form as soon as you can.

We have varying budgets available across the programme, depending on the type and scale of performance. As part of the form, please give us your best estimate of your fee and any additional costs or requirements so we can understand what would be needed to programme your act.

At this stage, we’re simply gathering expressions of interest. If we think your performance could be a good fit for the programme, we’ll get in touch to chat through the opportunity, timings, requirements and budget in more detail.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis as we fill our programme, so we’d encourage you to get your details across to us as soon as you can.

If you’ve got an idea you’d like to sense-check, or you’re not sure whether what you do would work as part of the programme, please get in touch.

🚴 One stage. Two towns. A huge day for Lincolnshire. Let’s give the Tour of Britain a welcome to remember.
